Overview
Jones Bay is one of Lake Roosevelt’s smaller, more rustic campgrounds. The campground is mostly gravel and packed dirt, with not much vegetation, on the lake shore. It can be reached by boat and has a boat launch and dock. Jones Bay can be also be reached by car, but may be difficult to find.
Jones Bay is popular with people that like a more remote primitive site. There is access to the water with a small boat ramp. Fishing is great from the water or the shore.
Jones Bay is a reservation only campground with 9 sites. There are picnic tables and fire pits at each site. You will need to bring your own drinking water. Limited trash services. Pack it in pack it out.
Jones Bay is located at the bottom of a ravine that opens up into a beautiful bay on Lake Roosevelt. It's located in the brush stepe so has a desert feel to it with the bitter antelope brush and sage. Nearby Attractions Great fishing is just a boat ride away. Beautiful views up and down the lake. All changes an cancellations must be done through recreation.gov. Late Cancellations or Cancellations within the Cut-off Window Individual Campsites: A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.
