§ 02 — OVERVIEW
Kanarra Falls hiking area is part of the Spring Creek Canyon Wilderness Study Area, but is a separate canyon located just north of the Spring Creek Canyon. There is a parking area and gate created and maintained by the city of Kanarraville.
This canyon receives an incredible amount of visitors as well as the Spring Creek Canyon. There are obvious social trails and people hike the river in the slot canyon. A portion of the Kanarra Falls hike is owned by Utah School and Institutional Trust Lands (SITLA) and is leased to the Iron County and the City of Kanarraville. Iron County and the City of Kanarraville have permitted that section of the hike. Permits are available at the entrance fee station at the start of the hike or online at https://www.kanarrafalls.com/.
