§ 02 — OVERVIEW
Visitors to the Three Peaks Recreation Area enjoy hiking among many other recreation opportunities. A popular hike, Rocky Peak Trail, is located near the large group camping area, park at the Rocky Peak Trailhead and the trail leads to the top of one of the peaks in the area.
This is a relatively short hike, however, it can be steep in areas. The uphill hike is greatly rewarded with a stunning 360 view of the surrounding area. There are other opportunities to hike around and explore the Three Peaks Area, with varying terrain, large areas to explore, and a variety of wildlife to be seen. Three Peaks has something to offer every hiker.
