After hosting several hundred guests in her home, Nellie Frost, first lady of Berea College, insisted on building a guest home for future visitors; hence, the idea of Boone Tavern began. Her vision became a reality in 1909. Today, this beautiful historic hotel with graceful white columns and airy verandas rests among the vibrant galleries, cafйs, shops, and studios of Berea, the Arts and Crafts capital of Kentucky.
