Craig Brook National Fish Hatchery Complex

We are open seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and closed on federal holidays. Hatchery tours are self guided but larger groups can call (207) 469-7300 to schedule a guide. There are many things to do at Craig Brook including: Boat launches and picnic areas on Alamoosook Lake, and on Craig Pond Nature trail with interpretive signs Indoor Visitor Center Atlantic Salmon Fly Fishing Museum, Tours of the hatchery on weekdays with advanced planning Visitors to the hatchery will see exhibits about the environment and the survival of Maine’s Atlantic salmon. A stream model with running water features live young salmon. The hatchery greets local visitors, including schoolchildren, and both nationwide and international visitors.
