Trailhead for Caledonia Trail #42 and access to the northern portion of the Aldo Leopold Wilderness. .75 miles of this trail was logged in the summer of 2017. The beginning of the trail is a moderate incline through ponderosa forests to a saddle. As the trail drops down to Diamond Creek, it passes a waterfall and interesting rock formaitons.
The trail will arrive at Diamond Creek which supports a lush mixed confier forest ecosystem.
