The Maryland Museum of African American History and Culture (MAAHC) will be Baltimore?s newest premier facility highlighting the history and accomplishments of Maryland?s African American community. Located on Pratt & President Streets?gateway to downtown Baltimore and the Inner Harbor?MAAHC will be the largest African American museum on the east coast and a cultural centerpiece for metropolitan citizens.
Opening in late 2004, MAAHC will be the Inner Harbor?s newest cultural attraction?providing an exciting tourist destination for a diverse audience of several million visitors annually.
