Started in a single small gallery in 1961 by Bud and Lily Schiele, the Schiele Museum of Natural History and Lynn Planetarium has grown into a multi-faceted natural science and history education facility with the southern Piedmont's largest research collections of regional minerals, plants and animals.
With its state-of-the-art planetarium, and nationally recognized education programs the Schiele Museum of Natural History and Lynn Planetarium is one of the southeast's leading collections-based museums and planetariums.
