SF from junction with main Santa Ana River upstream from highway through cabin area. Remote mountain streams, some pools; pine forests in gentle terrain, snow in winter.
Directions: From Redlands, on Hwy I-10; take Hwy 38, go 28 miles (over scenic, winding mountain road) to confluence of the streams, (3.9 miles past Barton Flats).
