§ 02 — OVERVIEW
The Black Springs OHV network on the north side of Highway 4 is the main Off-Highway Vehicle riding area on the Calaveras Ranger District. With over 100 miles of connecting roads and trails, there is enjoyable riding for all levels and types of users, including four-wheel drive, all-terrain vehicles, and motorcycles.The trail network is generally accessible to Off-Highway Vehicles from early summer to fall; during the winter months, portions of the network are available for use by Over-Snow Vehicles.
A map showing recommended routes is available upon request from the Ranger District Office.
