Confederate General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson died in the farm office building of the Fairfield Plantation. Today, that office building is all that remains of the former slave plantation situated near the critical transportation hub of Guinea Station.
The Jackson Death Site grounds are open every day, sunrise to sunset but the building is open seasonally.
