§ 02 — OVERVIEW
Yellow Pine Campground is the largest of three Wallowa-Whitman campgrounds along Highway 26, which is part of the Journey Through Time Scenic Byway. The campground offers campsites for both tents and small trailers, and has five accessible campsites.
Popular activities include; overnight camping for visitors traveling across the state, picnicking and exploring along the scenic byway. There is also an accessible, barrier-free, trail to Wetmore Campground. Wildflowers, wildlife, birds and large old growth ponderosa ("yellow") pine can be seen during the hike.
