§ 02 — OVERVIEW
The campground is open year-round but has seasonal restrictions during the winter. May through October: Reservations can be made up to four months in advance.
All sites are reservation only. November through April: The campground reduces to only one loop with 20 sites. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Azalea campground is centrally located in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. This campground is at an elevation of 6,500 feet.

Directions
This campground is 3.5 miles (5.6 km) from the Kings Canyon entrance, in the Grant Grove area. Services can be found in Grant Grove Village.
Weather Notes
This campground is at 6,500 feet (1,980 m). Summers are usually warm and sunny, however the weather can change at any time. Be prepared for three-season camping, even in summer. Winters are cold and snowy.

Camping Fee for Tent and RV Sites
This fee is charged for standard sites that accommodate up to 6 people, and is charged per night. During winter, from November 1, 2023, to May 7, 2024, only 20 sites are available and all are first-come, first-served. During this time, fees are cashless and must be paid by a QR code scan using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Download the app before visiting. Payment through the app will work with or without cell reception. The app might be able to be downloaded using WiFi at the Kings Canyon Visitor Center.
Senior/Access Camping Fee-Tent and RVs
Fee is valid for up to six people at a campsite. Valid with America the Beautiful Senior or Access passes.
