Overview
Designated primitive camping area only accessible by vehicle. First-come first served, no reservations. No designated sites. No potable water. When vault toilets are unavailable, campers must bring portable toilets for use and proper disposal into the sewer system. Quiet hours 10pm-6am. $12 per night. The nearby Hite area is currently closed to the public.

From Hanksville, Ut: Drive south on Hwy 95 about 44 miles. Turn right onto dirt road where the fee station and vault toilets are. There will be a small brown sign indicating the Dirty Devil Shoreline Access Area as you approach the turnoff, but none at the turnoff. Once you pay your camping fee, you can camp wherever you choose along the Dirty Devil River within Glen Canyon NRA boundaries.

Desert environment. Over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer, down to freezing in winter.
Dirty Devil Primitive Camping Area Fees
Dirty Devil is a vast primitive camping area adjacent to the Dirty Devil River. There are three entry points, each with a welcome sign and an "iron ranger" style fee collection for cash. If you wish to pay by card, use the link below. There are no designated sites and no amenities. Pack out wheat you bring in. Camping is $12 per night.
